During the bright July heat of a global pandemic, Shadae ordered some pints of ice cream from a local establishment. It sounded great — sweet cream base! Chocolate chips! Vanilla bean caramel! Homemade granola! It sounded delicious. Shadae opened up the container and eagerly dug in with a spoon.
To her horror, she discovered that the ice cream was the equivalent of a mouthful of gritty sand. She stuffed it back in the freezer, and slowly worked her way through the other pints. But now that ice cream is in her freezer, haunting her, waiting for her to get desperate enough to come back for more.
Ice cream shouldn’t make you sad — so Shadae and her pal Davida, fellow ice cream lover (and ex-ice cream maker!) decided to start a blog where we could keep track of our faves, pan the duds, and just make ourselves happier with ice cream!
