That’s the Spirit

Ok - times are tough. I miss my friend’s faces and traveling to see them all so I thought I would try a flavor I found locally in Seattle that has a New York City scoop location I might be able to visit with co-blogger Davida in her NY home one day!

In New York you can find Tipsy Scoop being a single “compact creamery scooping ice cream flavors infused with bourbon, vodka, rum, sangria or tequila.” In Washington, you have to scour a Metropolitan Market ice cream aisle and hope other people hadn’t cleared the shelves before you got there. In this world climate that is a 70/30 chance both because ice cream is a hot commodity people are finding their joy in right now. And also because this ice cream has ALCOHOL in it, making it a 2 for 1 treat.

Tipsy Scoops CaKe Batter Vodka Martini Ice Cream

Cake Batter Vodka Martini Ice Cream is a good and simple flavor to start down the road for boozy ice cream. It is a super creamy cake batter WITHOUT cake batter pieces and incredibly vodka martini forward. I was missing having texture in this ice cream (I love me some cake batter chunks), but then I was thinking of all the incredible boozy ice cream floats this could make and in that case - you probably do not want chunks of anything. It tasted like a boozy spiked vanilla. The vanilla lovers in the house gave two thumbs up.

This ice cream was fun. And I bet it would be a fun destination to head to in New York too.

3 spoons and a lifted spirit. (I’ll be back to try more flavors!)
